artic cat fork rebuild kit

i bought a fork rebuild kit off ebay and when installed the fork wont travel up and down like normal. the sleeve insert inner diameter seem to small. anybody else have this probelm

Yep. The sleeves are crap. Clean up a used original set as best you can and go with that. I have got years out of used sets that I thought were worn out.

You may have to modify them and trim them down to fit better as they are slightly different than the originals. Add some grease to the inside of the sleeves. That will help the lower forks travel up and down.

The two sets of sleeves I bought off Ebay are just plain too small on the I.D. The springs and dust seals are good though.

i ended up not using the sleeve and just using the cap springs. works just fine
