Hello, I'd like to know how many members run Azusa mini bikes. Seems like some people love them and some hate them. I'm thinking of doing another mini using their 6 inch wheel kit and putting my own personal touch on it. Are they durable? Quality? US made? Opinions welcomed. Mind you....my plan is for a 5hp or below flathead....my old Db30 scared me with the predator. So I'm not looking at flogging it with a big block. Thanks!

I did one some ago and it seems to be holding up quite well. As you build, you can make changes or enhancements to the kit. I'm sure that they are made in the U.S.A., but other members may know for sure. I too went with a HS50 for power and it really moves out... Hang on.

They are extremely versatile frames, I'll give them that  I personally dont like the looks of them I bought this one just for the parts and sold the frame off

I have another one I just recently bought (again just for the parts that came with it.....gotta take the good with the bad sometimes ) It was never assembled or built on, I am gonna start cutting on it and see if maybe I can make something interesting out of it. I had just picked up the remains of a Speedway Butcher bird the other day with a bad frame, I tried the wheels on the Azusa just to see how they would fit (10") and they actually fit it great, even with a Predator engine there was clearance and all that good stuff. They did do a good job keeping it very generic and open to build from!

They seem like a very legit kit.. Ive always thought of picking one of those up and making my own mid-mounted foot peg mounts and us BMX bicycle trick pegs as the foot pegs (bolt on, non welded). Ive been really wanting a mini with mid-mount foot pegs lately.

I just built and sold one. Good bikes. This one had a Lifan motor and was a rocket. Wheelies like a mofo!
Just ordered another, going to stretch it and run 10" wheels for our redneck off-road hillclimb races coming up this summer. IMG_20150104_141756_864.jpg

With a clone and aftermarket filter, footpeg placement was difficult for me to nail down.
They look like decent kits. If I don't find another DB30 I'm leaning towards the Azusa. A local company has them in stock, prebuilt, with better than stock tires. I have plenty of time to think about it while life corrects itself.
