Bad Contractors

Just wondering if anyone else has been screwed by a contractor and maybe how you resolved it. My story starts back in July when I hired a guy to do some repair work and then paint the house. I gave him depos of $1k for the repair work and $5K for the paint for the work to be done in Aug/Sept. After many promises of "be there in two weeks" I finally said enough. I gave him a deadline of 11/26 to return my depos. He agreed (another lie) and the 26th has come and gone with no money and no communication.
Small claims court only gives a decision but no means to collect. I intend to fully besmirch his reputation but I was just looking for some outside input.

Good luck getting any monies returned let alone back nor honor on his word

Bash him every way possible, Fakebook, Instagram, Snapchat online everywhere you can find, think of heard of, the BBB, anything possible. He'll go see the puke & and demand your money back!

Better quit there cuz it'll go downhill from here & this is a family site...

I worked for a contractor that was doing stuff like that in 2018,as soon as I figured out what he was doing I was gone .My Guy is still doing it ,so unfortunately i dont think there is much that can be done .Good Luck !
