17.00 + 7.99 shipping 25.00 for an axle without the nut. I would think a member would have a 15mm axle 12" long for a MB-200 for a decent price.

I went through the same issues with the back axle . Just spend the $25 and be done . Unless you have access to 15mm cold rolled rod , then
you can thread it yourself. Either way it wont be any cheaper but might be stronger
