Time to play "fun with math" I'm even gonna use quick sell prices for this exercise

lighted HS40 (running) $225
original chainguard $100
Fenders $60
wheels/tires/brake assy $175
seat $45
exhaust assy $45
tailight $60
tank $100
kickstand $60
rear shocks $40
frame forks $100

= $1010

Now spend $3.00 on a box of SOS pads, $3.00 on a bottle of cleaner, and a morning scrubbing it up and add an easy 25%-%40 to that.

still think its overpriced? start putting an original Bonanza 1300 back together with all the correct parts from some crapped out welded on frame you picked up at the swap meet for $50 (SCORE!!!!!). Bout halfway through trying collect the parts, getting outbid and going over budget on ebay trying to score the parts you need, you'll be looking at an empty wallet, and an unfinished bike thats not original. Meanwhile the "sucker" that overpaid for the bike (probably got it for $800-900 cause the seller is open to offers) spent the afternoon detailing it out, bought a comparable headlight that can be found new for under $50 and is cruising around on his 98% original Bonanza 1300...........at night

just because its not a screaming good deal, does not make it overpriced!

This bonanza now sits comfortably in the back of my jeep.

His asking price was put up to scare away the rift raft and lowballers.

Cash money speaks very loudly.

I have to agree with everyone on this bonanza. This is a nice old original minibike. The pictures on Craigslist made it look a little better then real life, but still it's a great piece.

I'll take Markus' advice and buy some SOS pads and cleaner and spend a couple hours making her pretty. I think it would be best to leave it alone after that and ride it, as is.

Anybody have a headlight for it?

There's 2 values - The OldMiniBikes values and the real world values.

Can't blame anyone on the board for not wanting to pay real world values because at heart we are all tinkerers and gold diggers, and we all know that there are tons of great deals out there for next to nothing if you are persistant...and that's half the fun. Finding something cool for chump change.

The cool thing about minibiking is that it can be as cheap as you want it to be and also can get very expensive. A guy can easily stumble onto a runner for $50 or he can spend enough that he could have bought a used car. Just depends on how deep he wants to get.
