Bearings

Right on. These bearings almost seem serviceable.

Have also opened up old/used bearings and found similarly scant amounts of grease--but it's easy to assume it leaked out or sort of vaporized over time...
I'm experimenting with repacking used bearings that still have life left in them. Ones that were rough and noisy before; a little grease makes them slick as snot.

What's the ID (name or numbers) on these bearings, Delray?

Inexpensive Chinese bearings are almost always shy on grease. Not sure of the quality of the grease that IS in there either.
They're still a good buy, but repacking them before use is a good policy.
