Make sure you have the right rebuild kit, is your carb adjustable?,meaning air mixture screw on the left of the carb and needle valve adjustment on the bottom . basically either soak the carb in cleaner after removing all the moving parts ,or you can just spray the carb cleaner in all the areas that spray and take in fuel . I used an old toothbrush to clean off the layers of turpentine on the float:thumbsup: . If you still have issues after that you still may be out of adjustment some. , or check your spark ,that will affect the way it runs, by cleaning off the flywheel and coil from any rust that you see .
