Been, picking up parts and bikes and junk and not doing a darn thing to get ready. Need to start to panic soon, and avoid the rush. Would like to build a 5hp briggs for the chopper to replace the ungoverned 2hp. Will bring the 6.5hp doodle if I don't panic and sell it.:scooter:

My new engine got here today along with another box of goodies, it's gonna be a busy weekend.

#66

my engine's built, just need a little paint, some tires, a taillight and a battery... I should be there... I hope :doah:

street bikes are ride able so Monday we'll get back on the drag bikes. Hoping to make a much better showing this year than last year. We learned some things for this time.

I've got about 90 percent of my fab work done this weekend, have most stuff mocked up. Next weekend my buddy's gonna make up a new header, then it's time to throw some paint on it, man time is flying by. Hey Dave are you guys going to have all 4 bikes there?

#71

Oh yeah. All 4 bikes should definitely be there unless something bad happens. Both drag bikes are stripped to bare frames. Stretching and blasting should be soon. Motor work is also under way.

anyone know if a jacket like this would qualify?

Leather Motorcycle Jacket

I know in their rules it says bikers must have helmet and a jacket but motorcycle jackets are expensive, if I could get my hands on something like that for $25 bucks and still be able to run my bike that would REALLY help me out.

That would be fine. I just wore a regular old leather jacket last year with no problem.

I've only worn light windbreaker jackets the last 2 years I have gone and ran the bikes there. I'm usually only "fun" runnin' though, mid 30's or so. Does not hurt to be pretty well protected if your gonna make a pretty fast pass though!

Tell me about it:doah: I was kinda hoping to have a cool bike done for billetproof, but I dont think the frame is going to arrive from cali as fast as I was led to believe. I am hoping to get the CCS charger done, might not be on the correct wheels though and I may throw a "cloned" powered bike together out of parts floating around the garage and see if I break 40mph :1orglaugh:

#78

the CCS charger is nice, looks like there's a lot of work to be done though. it would take me years to get that thing all pretty and working again :doah:. you do a nice job restoring bike though so we'll see what happens. :detective: either way I'm excited about the whole thing. I found a few videos on youtube and there's some crazy stuff out there. :eek:ut:

Not sure how big you are Mr. Ghetto, but if you're a big guy, you can borrow my jacket. It's a real Joe Rocket motorcycle jacket I bought last year for the event.
