Bolt on e-start/pullstart for Briggs/tec/predator/Honda

On todays episode of things making there way to the states in mass quanitys…

I know a 212cc starter cup and pullstart fits right onto a Briggs 5hp and I assume tec’s. just rivet this to the shroud and throw a few battery’s in the pouch before you leave.

If you have no compression release this will break and cause you to waste $80 (I assume)

Alibaba is the only one shipping these so far. They will be available more readily on temu eBay I assume. It is zero difference from the crank starter and kickstarter deals that showed up around 2024/2025

Once they catch there will be people drop shipping them left and right off any of the normal places like Amazon/ebay

Now that is a neat concept, perhaps poorly executed IF it’s mostly plastic. A poor man’s add-on electric start. Hopefully it has a ratchet or some other so the spur gear isn’t endlessly freewheeling after it starts.... then again it does say “generator”....

Just a question, but is that any different then justing an electric drill to start one. It looks cool to me, but I bet it sticks out so far for me.

Yes. It’s integrated pretty well and compact because it uses a cordless tool battery, but I am like you, I would want the battery relocated elsewhere via long wires and the lines and looks of the recoil starter/blower shroud returned to normal. I can handle the starter motor sticking out of it haphazardly though. Aesthetics are important to a guy like me…
