Bonanza BC1300sh gas tank dimensions?

I have restored a 1968 Bonanza BC 1300SH with Hodaka motor. It came out great but I am not happy with the gas tank figment. Can anyone tell me the exact dimensions of the originally installed gas tank?

Any help would be appreciated.

I would also be interested in purchasing an original tank if one exists out there!

Are you using a round fuel tank under the seat

Here is what I found, most tanks are smaller , like 3 - 3 1/2" round

I can't recall but, around the 8" or a little less. I have one and will measure it today.

Thanks I really appreciate it. I ran a larger one last year but I couldn't hardly get the gas cap on and off. Need to get one that will work. It looks like 3 x 9 is pretty good, but I really want to know what size they came with. Seems like with all of the Bonanza experts someone would know offhand, but I guess not..... Thanks again

I just measured a couple of tanks, 4 1/8 wide 7 3/4 long. The filler must be on the end . and they are a snug fit
