Brake cable set up

I have what I believe is a CSS Chopper. I do not have all the parts. What I need is a picture or two of the brake set up. How the cable mounts, type of bolt, etc... Any Help.

Nobody!!!??? There has to be a brake set up like this on this forum!!!! maybe the right person hasn't seen it yet. Help!!! John

I haven't ever fooled with a band brake, but you will need a trunnion to go in that loose end of the band, a cable and housing, a lever for the handle bar and some attachment point on the frame for the cable conduit threaded portion to attach to. There has to be remnants of such a thing on the frame somewhere. If not, just weld a tab on there to get the job done. I would think the cable conduit needs to be mounted close to the anchor point for the other end of the band. I may be wrong. OldMiniBikes Warehouse has the parts.

that can be done with a solid rod , ended up doind it with a rod on my bike and liked it better

yep, you could foot brake it then....maybe that is how it was originally. There may have been a pedal where that missing foot peg on the right is.
