Briggs 5hp flywheel

This rachet end that holds the metal balls actually screws off...might have to tap it counter clock wise with a hammer and a dull chisel to get it to break loose.

hit it on the thicker ears and see what you can do to hold the flywheel...and not by the fins. Once the ratchet is off, use a screwdriver to pry against the case and flywheel and give it a light tap on the end of the crank. No too hard or you will mess it up! A brass hammer is your friend here

And if that won"t work, gear puller (which is what I always do--cast flywheels will rust and stick to crank taper). The starter ratchet does come off easily with a hammer and chisel with light taps on the ears.

And since your ratchet is shot, don't worry about being careful with it. You'll need to shell out about 20 bucks for a new one.

So I got a hold of a billet flywheel , con rod, header. Is there a carb swap or up grade? I want to keep the fuel tank how it is. But I wanna hot rod it a bit.
