Briggs clutch brackets

Looking for some suggestions on how to make some clutch brackets for this motor. Thank you.

So I have this I bought years ago but I believe it's for the 5hp Briggs. Gives me a good idea.

Is a "clutch bracket" your word for a chain guard as seen in post #2 or is it something different?
Is it to facilitate a clutch band brake?

Just need some sort of brackets to hold on a clutch cover. The bike has a scrub brake.

Like a manual clutch housing. The chain guard is a start, but your side cover lacks the usual accessory bolt holes.

These might be your sturdiest alternative attachment points. I have used the big one on the right before.

Fabricate a couple of "L" brackets and secure one leg under the sidecover bolts. That is how they did them from the factory on the original "Taco" minibikes. You will have to experiment with the location of the brackets (i.e., which sidecover bolts) and respective length of the bracket legs to best fit and support your cover.

Regarding the cover, do you have a picture of the clutch cover you plan to use?
May help in determining the best bracket approach to mount it.

And I'm sure it goes without saying, but I'm just saying this sort of screw is great for side cover point attachments, too.
