Briggs TAC-2 Mock up opinion???

Got a Comet TAV-2 mounted on a Briggs. If I mount it with the driven below the driver (next set of holes down) the plate hits the engine oil fill. With it 90 degree's with the engine as shown it clears but the driver is maybe 2 inches above the engine mount. Would you modify the oil plug and run it with the driver down or leave it like in the pictures. Bike frame will be made to fit either way. It looks kinda weird to me mounted like it is in the picture for some reason....Walt
