broke crankshaft

#1
Hi everyone, got a problem, i have a tecumseh H50 motorsport crankshaft. its the 1 inch rod journal. well i managed to snap off
the fly wheel nut. my thought is to take it to a machine shop and have the flywheel side drilled and tapped at 1/2 inch 20 . a stud would be placed in the crank with JB weld. then reassemble and go on my merry way. any thoughts on this, has this ever been done before?:scared:

I too bought one of those and had the same issue. It's just a stock replacement. I even contacted the seller about it. They acted like I was the retarded one. Looks like I will be getting the stock one turned to accept a bearing.

I had Detroit Crankshaft do some work on cranks for my GX120(ish) mini-sled racers.
Close, quick, reasonable price, at that time any way.
Probably room to add a little stroke, if so inclined, while reducing the rod journal size.
