I have a mid '60 Broncco TX-III that needs a centrifical clutch replacement. The engine appears to be an Italian Tecumseh. It may have a metric shaft. Any ideas on where I can get one?
The present clutch on the minibike is a 5/8 inch shaft, 11 tooth model. I did not notice one like this in your current clutch/shield page. Do you have one?
Broncco TX-3, i have brand new max torque with a 5/8 bore 11 tooth for a#35 chain. comes with a keyway and two set screws. $35 ship to your door. use ups only. also have one for a 41 chain too:smile:
Thanks for the response. I will check the chain pitch and get back to you. My existing clutch also has two set screws. It works well for someone less than 150 pounds buts slips going up hills with anyone heavier.
it could be couple things wrong. first try cleaning out the clutch unit and drum with brake cleaner and then use compress air. then after clean and dry, just put couple drops of motor oil on the bronze bushing and only the bushing. if you still have the problem it could be also not enough gearing to keep it going up a hill or to much weight on the bike(you). causing the clutch to slip or it could just be old and tired if it's the original unit.
try it and see what happens:shrug:
most stock low hp minibikes with only clutch don't like alot of weight when going up hills....
I did send a reply. I am new to this forum and may have entered something wrong. The Broncco TX-3 is not for sale at this time. There are too many kid cousins and grand children that want to try it out.
