I'm about 100 miles south of the disaster, so no worries, but GOD is it ugly. When the Santa Ana winds come, ( and they do Every year ) blowing hot dry air from the desert to the ocean the fire fighters are literally helpless to do much. Until the wind lets up, it's not going to get any better.

Curious….why can’t they use ocean water? Because it’s salty? Worried about environmental/conservation issues? What if there’s nothing left to conservate? Ought to toss that governor of yours in the middle of it with a shovel and squirt bottle…

The ball was dropped and people are going to pay for that. Funding was cut for the fire department in that area. People here are also asking why they didn't use the ocean water. Lots of questions and no answers yet.

People abandoned their vehicles on the road and walked out of those mountains. The city bulldozed the cars out of the way for the firefighting equipment.

I promise you with all I have in me if I could not get in trouble and spend all day hitting cars on the street with my bulldozer I would do it and not accept pay. It would just be so much fun. Go for the expensive ones first.

I’d also be yanking engines left and right. No bolts undone just hook and book with a new BMW Engine new Lincoln engines etc..

I’m reading articles people were specifically told to leave there keys in the car if they didn’t want bulldozed. I’m not the first person who had this idea. Look around Instagram there is roads of empty scats chargers bulldozed cars. People are filming themselves having some fun.
