Could be an early Joe's or another obscure California builder's work but I'm not going to lie the steering head seems a bit sketchy so I don't want to get your hopes up, I'd like to see a good photo of it to advise you one way or another at least as to the safety and some tips for improving it because everything can be improved upon. It may be better than it looks but I'd like to se you live to find a Taco or Flexo or some other highly sought after mini. I'm in Oklahoma and have found a huge variety and some have been truly special if not rare but that word is overly used. Also a clutch brake as a backup in case the tire finds water or oil in which case you my good man are not stopping at least not in the planned location. And let me know how that new sprocket adaptor for Azusa wheels works because I'm watching one on Ebay and really need a true running unit so I can use some Azusa's I have and buy more if it works out. Depending on where you live you could truly find a great vintage mini, till then I have a half dozen or more for sale at any given time and ship anywhere in the lower 48 my feedback here and on Ebay proceeds me. No special ones though but affordable buildable projects for the everyday average mini biker.

this is what the steering had looks like up close I have noticed that these type of mini bikes are pretty common in Los Angeles.. so far I'm liking that that adapter for the sprocket I get a pretty sturdy ride and my chain doesn't pop off

Way better than it looked, I'd ride it but stopping is still a sketchy deal look into a clutch brake or maybe even an Azusa brake for that sprocket adaptor.

I actually did a little bit more research and found out that it's called a GTS frame.. apparently it's manufactured for a mini bike and go kart shop here in Los Angeles called gts Hobbies.. and the handlebars I bought are from another mini-bike and go-kart shop called Joes mini bike shop and they also have Parts manufactured for them so it's a GTS frame with Joe's handlebars

I was wondering if you could link me to some decent brakes I could actually use with my Azusa adapter I've been searching but I haven't found anything that looks like I can actually use with what I already have, I would go for a clutch brake but I'm not sure if that damages my clutch overtime

Then I was right to some extent about it looking like one of those manufacturers so I'm glad to have pointed you in the right direction, mark mine as best answer to keep me in the top ten if you would please because I am not on here as much and don't get as many opportunities to ID bikes. Glad you were able to nail it down! As far as the brakes the only one I know of is the Azusa brand and yes it leaves a lot to be desired. I believe you can get a band brake adaptor for Azusa wheels to mount a 4" drum onto. If you have room it's a far better choice other than that a clutch brake is the only other best option but it wears clutch bushings out prematurely so using it when the scrub won't stop would be best.
