Hey, now, that is a nice, little kart. I see a decal that says 3.5 MPH in low, 6.5 in Hi. I bet it was a hill climbing beast.

Looking at the parts diagram it seems to use the pto shaft sticking out the side of the engine that would normally run the self propelled wheels on a mower.
As many used up push lawn mower frames that the engines were still solid on when i was a kid its a shame more of these cart frames weren't in circulation. Vertical shaft motors were abundant give aways.Cool option to re-purpose a motor.
