I have an old Chrysler 28015 engine I am working on, however the carburetor is shot. It is a hl 189a. Does anyone know of a good replacement carb? I have heard that they are very close to the west bend power bee. Thanks for the help

Yes, that was used on the WB 580's. I also used one on a Clinton A400, and it worked well there. If you contact Vince out at http://www.classickartshop.com/products/intake-carb-related/ he can hook you up with a Chinese clone of one. I used that on a modified WB 580 with good results.

Also, the folks at EC Carburetors are very knowledgable and can get you dialed in if you're more serious with your application like racing, but they know all of it. https://www.eccarburetors.com/go-kart-racing-performance-carburetors

Also, when I was talking with the karting guys on my 189E on my West Bend 580, without exception, they said it was too small for use on a kart. Stands to reason it would be too small for an 820 as well.
