Coleman CT200U- EX Front fork help

#1
Hey guys. I’m putting a 200ex back together. Looking at the parts diagram it shows on the triple tree a washer on top and a washer on the bottom. No washers in between, just the frame tube with the bearings and bolt.

I put it together like that. (I also found a small washer when I took it apart “between” the triple tree which wasn’t in diagram)

Anyway, there is a big gap at the bottom...or the top if I lift up. Is this intentional? Nothing is bent or messed up, it just seems odd to me. I am attaching pics of how I have the 2 washers and the gap I’m talking about. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

There should be a small washer on the top of the frame and one on the bottom to eliminate that gap between the triple tree.

Even after putting the small washers, there might still be some gap (that happened to my bike out of the box), you need to loosen the bottom triple tree bolts and move it upwards the tighten the bolts.
