Correct kit?

I looked this carb up on the Tecumseh service parts list and come up with service #630813. I can't find this anywhere. All I can get is some sites mention it as a replacement for 630772. Can't find anything for that one either. Are some diaphragm carbs simply SOL for carb kits? I do have a kit for a totally different service number. If the diaphragm fits do i just go with that one? Or do I have a new paperweight?

The kit with a replacement needle, diaphragm, nut and seat is $7 on ebay.

I just bought one two weeks ago to rebuild a diaphragm carb off a 70 Rupp

BTW the nut inside is 9/32. Be sure you pick up a socket if you dont already have one. I rounded mine off trying to use a 5/16 and had to drill it out. I do recommend the full kit so you can make sure the seat and needle is operating correctly

I'm willing to try but how would a person know that was the right kit without linking that service number to it?

I also haven't seen much difference with those carbs. Make sure you soak the 4 outside bolts and the main jet once you remove the cover.
