Daddy do whats in your heart
hey wayne, any interest in selling that?
Dad if you need to sell that bike to get your surgery, I would understand.:sadcrying4:
But guy please understand something, My Dad was going to be a famous race car driver, all he ever wanted to do was drive race cars. And he did very successfully up until the time my sister was born. But he did the right thing, he hung up his helmet and started a family. But in the back of his mind he always had that race car in his thoughts. And then my brother was born, Dad buckled down and went into business. Working his tail off. And then an other child, my other sister was born, Dad keept working, working, working. And then there most precious child was born, ME! Dad just could not get the racing out of his blood. No matter how hard he tried he just could not. And then one day he saw a shinny new toyoco mini bike. Hey, he was in his 30's but he thought "what the heck" So he was going to buy himself that shinny new minibike, but then he remembered.. My children, how can I splurge on my self when I have these 4 little children at home? So he went with out. Dad built up his little business and things where good for him, hey it was the 70's.. But Daddy keept putting us kids first. He decided since he could not race anymore he would have his children race. So he went all out. All 4 of us kids raced 1/4 midgets, twice a week we would pack up and he and my mommy would drive us 200 miles round trip so we could race. All the while he had that shinny new toyoco minibike in the back of his head. He just knew, some day...........
Well about a year ago that day finally came for old pop's. You should have seen the look in his eye! The tears started to well up and before I knew it Dad was overcome with emotion.
So I will understand if Dad needs to sell the bike so he can get his surgery. But please keep this story in mind when making him a offer.
How can you ever put a price on memories?????? Just how, please tell me if you know?
I love you Daddy.
