DB30 Make-Over

#1
New project started, had this little db30 for about 8 years now and it has been a lot of fun, but it's time for a Make over. These dbs are very similar to the ct200 in frame design and shape. Cut this one up a little more than the last one so l decided to get more creative with a jig to get everything straight. The laser works great for lining everything up.

Engine mounting rails are inch and quarter .095 wall tubing to fit standard karting mounts, small block or big block. With 5in of adjustment, I will able to run any combo, straight off motor or tav with a juggernaut:scooter: Big shout out to Stock Car Steel, excellent service and fast shipping even with all that's going on. No order to small :)

Thanks guys, test with the torque converter went kinda wild with the 12 tooth output, so went to a 15 and was better but still wheeled very easy if not over the bars. I don't think the mph will be where I want ,so for now converter removed and going to see what it will run straight off the motor, 1/8 mile. Rides Great, in a Straight Line ;)

Draggin Doodle test and tune, Great day at the track and lots of fun. Bike improved with every pass,a few jet changes and a little clutch tuning and it's starting to come alive. All runs made in the left lane with the last 4 passes made in 2 lap hotlaps with a little time in between the two sets. This engine is only 196cc ,going to up the ante with a few more cc soon 20200913_210222.jpg 20200913_210203.jpg 20200913_210238.jpg 20200913_211140.jpg 20200913_211207.jpg 20200913_211229.jpg 20200913_211243.jpg
