Dellorto carb.

I have an hs40 Tecumseh engine, want to switch carburetors with a dellorto carb. Do I need to disconnect the governor

as in any slide carb application (including the Dellorto) on a tecumseh HS motor, the governor is no longer used. it's best to delete is fully, but Rupp just removed the governor arm and moved the spring to hold the governor mech out of the way. This was on the Black Widow with a Dellorto ua19 on an HS40 engine. not a great way to do it, but it does not require removing the side cover to disable to governor.

There is a billet rod avalable made for the ohh55 that fits in this motor, I would recomend getting one so you don't blow your motor.
