Detroit Autorama
Whew! Glad it is over. It makes for a long weekend with lots of cocktails and beers.I feel like I was hanging out at Bikerscum's house waiting for his parts to show up! Just kidding John. The promotor who let us do the mini's gave us a big plug on stage at the end when all the trophy's were handed out. We were in the basement with all the rat rods and all the cool old school stuff. The upstairs was all the show cars. It is now referred to as the attic because the basement was the biggest hit of the show. Brian @ Motor City Mini's did a great job and all who participated and brought their bikes out. Their were 5 custom trophy's for mini bikes. 1 Best Custom A lil Indian chopper customized, 2 Restored a Plum Crazy won by Merlin a real nice Kid who loves tinkering with things, Unrestored which I won with my Plum Crazy Survivor Grasshopper. Rat Bike won by Chili with his Ruttman wild goose. 5 Best Custom was a Red Harrison owned and Built By Tony. The rat rod guys said it all started with mini bikes when they were kids. I wouldn't know. I did meet a guy who has a Engray Maico Spitfire and lives 5 minutes from me. So now there are two known. Going to look at it soon. I really love the Snow Draggin. Steve did a nice job. That was worth the weekend alone. Here are some more pics.
