Early 1970’s Power dyne mini bike

#1
I have a mini bike that I got new in the early 70’s. It was made by Power dyne Vehicles in Pawtucket Rhode Island. We ordered it out of the Aldens Catalog and picked it up at a railway station. The frame was bright yellow and it had chrome fenders. It has a 5 hp. Tecumseh
engine with a plastic tank that is mounted on the engine. It had a mostly worthless disc brake that squeezed against the sprocket. The brake had a lever to push with your foot. It had a chain tensioner that consisted of a spring with a plastic insert that the chain ran through to hold tension on the chain (another nearly worthless accessory). It also had coil spring suspension on the front and rear. Can anyone help me with identifying this model? Thanks

Thanks for the reply. It’s pretty much like that with a couple of differences. Mine has a chrome fork like the one pictured. It looks like this one had a jack shaft and a moving trailing arm. Mine has a one piece frame. Mine had a bracket that the back of the seat mounted to that contained the rear springs. The rear suspension just amounted to the seat moving up and down.

Yes, exactly like that. I couldn’t remember when I made my original post, but my bike had a foot pedal and a lever that you operated with your left hand to apply the rear brake. Funny that the one in this picture is blue, mine was originally yellow but I painted it blue.
