Please be advised that exhaust tubing, that is tubing made and sold as EXHAUST PIPE is specifically designed to bend and stretch when you try to expand or bend it.
I do not know of any other type of tube that will allow you to accomplish that flare without splitting.

That’s really cool, might go more easily (or facilitate with less ductile tubing) if heated with a torch as it’s done.

I’ve also had good luck with Harbor Freight’s inexpensive tubing expander tools (they come in 2 sizes), but I like that bell-mouth form made by the ball!
