No its an early 1963 Taco model type I different shocks front and rear.

And the Lil Pal is actually manufactured by Palmini Engineering Corp. of South San Gabriel CA. and private labeled Steens. It came in royal blue, cherry red, competition orange and yellow.

Didn't Palmini make Gokart parts and exhaust ?
I've seen these kits before and have always wondered about them . Peoples eyes always seem to be drawn to the Taco in the ads . I like to notice the Odd-ball stuff . I can't help but notice the similarities between this and Savage minibikes also the Zipsters build ?

Palmini made mini bikes too... I didn't know that. Really cool. I also found out they also made aftermarket car parts as well. Does anyone know what happened to the company itself? Was it bought out or went out of business????

Yes, really rare. One of “The one that got away” bikes for me. Let my early Palmini (Judging by super narrow forks) go to a buddy of mine in SoCal who is not an internet guy. Earlier this year scored a super clean Lil Pal and have been gathering parts to make it correct.

The other thing that many people haven’t put 2+2 together on is that the Steens Timberline is also Palmini DNA. here’s mine:

Yep, still around. Just getting older and slower. Closed the shop at the beginning of 2018. A long llist of reasons. But it did cause me to get rid of a couple bikes I regret like the Palmini and my Viper Cycle. Now both in good hands and finished in their forever home. I’m busier than ever, but actually making money and doing fun stuff rather than killing myself for almost nothing after the bills were paid. Did get myself down to about 15 Minis from about 65 counting projects. Slowly building back up but they don’t pop up around here like they did 15 - 20 years ago. I did just get an offer accepted on a set of Garbro wheels I needed for this Lil Pal after I made this post though. Been looking for some for a long time.
