Asesino was down to headline it but they couldn't get all the members together. that would have been badass to have them.
the 19th is going to be a busy day. i'm going almost 2 hours north to watch my buddy with an LT1 powered 240 Volvo (old box style one) do some auto-crossing, drive back down here and then figure out how i'm going to get to the city. i'm hoping my friends will still be in the area so i can just bum a ride off one of them. i'm not driving out there and don't really want to take BART.

the show was last night and it was hahahahaing awesome. all the bands kicked ass and had fun.
we're definitely doing it again next year but it probably won't be free. it just costs way too much money to put on something like this (i believe it cost damn near $3k to do it). there will probably be a $5 or less cover charge which isn't much.
the whole show is on video so i'll post that once my friends get it done. there was one guy walking around with an HD camera and several of my friends did the pit cam. that should be interesting because the pits were getting pretty crazy during the last 2 bands. i didn't even go in the pit (my foot is hahahahaed up) and i've still got bruises. :laugh:
it's just awesome that these bands did this to help support the scene.
one of my friends almost got kicked out for punching one of the security guys. it turns out he elbowed him but he was in the pit and didn't even realize it. that turned out to be a bit of a fiasco out in front of the club. the cops were also showing up around then for some reason (wasn't related to that). they had 3 cars out front.
overall, it was a fun night with some killer metal.
