Got a Mini Bike/Tiki Tattoo this weekend ....

#5
This idea has been bouncing around in my head for a couple years.

The tiki is a "Pizz" design ... Google "Hot Rod Tiki" to get an idea what it will look like in color.
I had the Hot Rod omitted and had a mini Bike drawn under him ... the mini is loosely based on a Boonie Bike ... The artist had to draw a lower half to the tiki and put him on the mini .. a few weeks ago we went over the drawing, changed a couple things and made an appointment to get it done.
It was my first tat ... for those who wonder what the "pain" was like ... I would say like a mild shock to feeling like your being cut with a very sharp corner of a razor blade. It wasn't that bad, just slightly uncomfortable.

Cool. I'm very familiar with the Tiki. I'm starting a 1/2 sleeve next week. Can't wait to see the color.

Pretty Cool. Just curious how much does something like that cost? Thanks.
Cost and quality vary wildly .... this shop is $100 and hour .... what you see on my arm was $350 not including the tip. I will be going back for color and will likely spend the same.

Find a REPUTABLE shop, look at the artists work, ofton you can do this online.

The old adage Good work is never cheap and cheap work is never good applies here!

Especially with tattoos. Don't ever let a friend "do you a favor or apprentice on you." My wife an I use them same shop and it took us into our mid 30's before we were ready.

Nice tattoo! I've been thinking about getting my first tattoo myself and making it a mini bike themed also. I've done a couple drawings for people to take to the tattoo artists to have done. My wife has one on her ankle of her second son that died of sids. I just did this one for one of my nephews friends. He owns a Cavalier and calls it the "Street Biscuit". Don't ask me why. But anyhow he wanted his car with the Pillsbury Doughboy. And yes, I know Cavaliers are front wheel drive but this is how he wanted it.
