Guess for now,, just click the'' lower left ''rectangular box on the ''YouTube'' image up above on post 122, & that will take you to YouTube.
Then just type in - ''Ian's Kart'',, at the top search part.
That works. ;)

P/S,,
Had a hell of a head wind in the vid., plus I was still accelerating going past the camera.
You get more of a sense of the actual speed once I got past the camera.

Awesome pic! Finally get some seat time. The fruits of your labor have finally paid off!
Don't fret looking older, I'm thinking the vast majority of us here have the battle scars of life showing thru. :p
Those of them that don't, soon will...:D

On the lighter side if life:
Age is a number they put on your death certificate... youth is a state of mind!
And you my friend, look like you're having the time if your life!

Just did some research on comparison with my set up verses an equivalent gas engine.
My set up basically compares with a ''stock/governed'' 7hp ''4 stroke'',, with that engine having a 6 - 1 gearing.

That's pretty good.

Lastly,,
For kicks & doodles,, I calculated what my top speed would be with a 5 - 1 gearing.
It would hit almost 50, with a good tailwind,, but ''of course'',,, would take a bit to get there.

My 6.9 - 1 set up that I originally configured, ''& am running'',, is the cats @$$,,, for all around performance & efficiency.;)

Am changing the gearing on my elect. BLDC - 36 volt Mini , from 6.5 - 1,, to 7 - 1,, : ''10 - 70'',, to help keep up with my Kart better on hills ect.
Changing that gearing will also help that bike run more efficient all a round. ;)

On post 116 that I said about having 2 batt. slots to double the ''ah'' capacity ,, is now ''not'' totally the way it is.
I' am the part time ''weekend'' morning power equipt specialist @ lowes,, & we just got in this spring,, 2 models of Kobalt ''brushless'' push mowers, that are 2 - 24 volt 5 ah packs in ''series''.
That makes these 48 volts & still 5ah of capacity.
Not trying to push sales on these ,, just posting that there's different batt. configs. now ......

I have a question that needs the power equipment specialist to answer. It took 6 gallons of diesel fuel to mow my lawn so, how much ah capacity would I need to do that same mowing on a single charge?

You gott'a be putting me on, Mariah. LOL :p

If your supposedly mowing a lawn with something that would take 6 gals of diesel to do it, that's not a lawn,, but a frigg'n field. lol :D

One 5ah ''Li'' battery in a 40 volt ''brushless'' push mower'' ,, will generally run around 30 - 40 minutes, depending if it's self propelled or not.

That also depends on how high & dense the stuff you are mowing is also,, to determine how much load you are putting on the motor.

Generally a 30 - 40min run time with that 40v, should knock out 1/4 - 1/2 acre

So a 10 ah battery would probably cover 1 acre, & run at least 1 hr.

2 acres would be 20 ah, & 4 acres would be 40 ah ,, ect. ect.,, with that 40 volt ''push'' mower. LMFAO !!

Added,,
There is a new EGO 42'' Z turn that we offer for ''a lot'' of coin.
It is 56v, & comes with 4 - 56v 10ah Li packs, that are wired in parallel,, ''like how my Kart is''.
With the 4 included packs totaling 40ah,, It will generally knock out up to 2 acres on a single charge.
It also has 2 more slots for 2 more packs,, which would give a total ah capacity of 60,, & would probably knock out an extra 1/2 acre or so ..
The power of that Z turn is the equivalent of a 22hp gas engine.

Total price of that Z turn with 2 extra packs, & with 7% tax ect. out the door,, is ''only'' just around 10K.

It's 4 acres on a grade with some spots of rough brush that gets almost knee high, the Z turn sounds tempting but the cost of dinosaur juice is more practical for right now. Lol! Thanks for the calculations, I'll keep this in mind when I'm riding my oil burner!

When I quoted around 10k for that Z turn ,, was also figuring in another extra set of 6 - 10ah packs.
It would actually be around 6k, with just - 2 extra packs & card discount.
That's still ''a lot'' of bread.
Those 10ah packs ''ea.'' with tax,, are almost 500 bucks !

Added,,
General rule of thumb I came up with awhile back with Li packs is,, - figure around 50 bucks for ''every'' ah of capacity,, with ''larger'' O.P.E. packs.

Aluminum heat sink that I designed & made, from a piece of ''shower door'' frame channel,, that I dug out of a dumpster a few years back. LOL

It only weighs around a couple of ozs., & ought to help dissipate heat nicely.

I also modified 2 ''long'' springs to secure it underneath.
The springs hook to the front & back lower cooling fins.

It was a ton of work, but well worth it.

The cooler an elect. motor runs,, the more efficient it is, which adds up to,, - more power longer, & more run time.
