$125 for the Billet rod. $135 for the Billet Flywheel and a couple hundred more for clutch/chain and other goodies.
yeah there is way more to it than that  the people hitting 80 mph have thousands into their motors and countless hours in their bikes

I would never want to do 80 mph on any of my minibikes. I just dont think they were designed for those speeds. Going 80 on a street bike/motorcycle is still too fast.

The guys doing 80 are doing it on significantly larger wheel/tire sets, bearing cassettes, and larger frames. They are designing their frames for those speeds. I recall hitting about 45 on my Taco, and front wheel wobble was disconcerting, while stopping was not really an option.

It isn't that I'd mind going 80, it's just not worth the thousands it costs to go that fast. I don't think a GX200 would do it too many times either.

I have a Dodge Police Pursuit Charger with a Hemi. The speedometer says it does 160mph, I've never had it over 90. I don't know if it does even 160, I'm never gonna try. But it gets to 60 or 80mph real freakin good! That's the effect I want with my minibike. Whether it actually does 60s or 80s is immaterial to me. I don't need to know, I don't want to hit the top speed ever.

Right now I'm getting top speed of 42.9mph on my minibike, but I hit that governor and surges back off and on again, jerking me around, which is very annoying and uncomfortable. It pisses me off. My whole reason for me to do the governor removal/billet trip is to smooth out the top end so it doesn't do that. And if I hit 50s so be it, it's only for a burst, but like moedog says, your average mini is probably not designed for all this speed and g force. Plus the brakes thing like Dakota says.

I'd sure hate to bite it on a minibike at 80!

what is wrong with you guys   why not push the envelope and shoot for 80mph  and a gx200 might do it bored with a deck extension a crazy head ton of billet crank supports etc
