Well, I reckon it was about time I started doing some discussions about the beloved (?) Bremer "Moto-Scoot"
Let's begin with some observances on various models, shall we?
I'll begin with what I believe was the first model, the "M-S-4" probably for "Moto-Scoot / Four Cycle engine"
From observations on this site and on-line, there seem to be a few differences.
1. Two different seat heights 1.5" vs 4" tall
2. Two different pedal designs, three if you count the "Two-Cycle" model
3. Two different fork styles
4. a single seater, and yes, even a two-seater version (possibly not a M-S-4)
5. If you include the "M-S-10" Model (a larger, dimension-wise scooter) there are two sizes, with the larger of the two utilizing leading link front suspension.
Also different on the M-S-10 is a wider rim set-up onto which the no. 35 chain sprocket mounts.
Below, see the two different front forks:
a. Single frame fork
b. double framed fork
c. Close-up of double framed fork
d. Close up of single framed fork
e. the shorter sprocket mounts @ 3/16"
f. the wider sprocket mounts @ 1/2"
g. The two pedal styles, flat and curved
h. Third pedal style
(awaiting better photo)
i. 1.5" seat riser
j. 4" seat riser
Next submission: Frame sizes/suspension and more.
