I picked this up at an estate sale today. No tag, the bore is about 2 5/16. I’m wondering what is the easiest way to distinguish an H30 from a H25 IMG_4992.jpeg IMG_4989.jpeg

No difference between them, They usually spec out the same in that timeframe, carb stamp number start with a "99"?

That makes sense. I’m wondering what accounted for the 1/2 horsepower difference between the 2.5 and 3.0…cam?
decal and the stamp on the tag :). carbs do show as different sometimes (original parts numbers) but use the same parts so there may be a restriction in one of the passages or jets, but the superseded parts numbers and or "service carbs" always end up the same in the end. engines internally though are exactly the same between the 2 when compared in the same timeframes
