H30 breather

#1
I am rebuilding a '69 H30 and I need some help with the breather. I bought a new element P/N 31410 but I'm not sure if it's right for this breather. Seems like it would be a very tight squeeze to push it into the slot. There was no element in the breather when I took it apart. Maybe this one doesn't use a element? Any help is appreciated. They used and element, for some reason Tecumseh stopp selling the foam ones and give you that with that part number (which is for the later versions). I have never tried to use one in that application, so I dont know how it would go in the slot. The old one were merely a chunk of open cell foam, Nothing special, so you can get creative with something from around the house or shop to make a filter element with if you want one in there. Heres the original element: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-5...0001&campid=5335845805&icep_item=202648784423
