H35 - H40 exhaust ports

does anyone know if an h35 tec has the same size exhaust port as an hs40?? I have a member building me an exhaust for my side pooper but doesn't have a 3.5 to use as a guide to make the flange. only a h40. does anyone have both type engines to compare? if not i'll have to send him the gasket to go by that. It'll save a lot of time and crap if we could find out if they were the same size!!!

metal man, I have the serial number and a site to get the exact parts. I can get the exact gasket and send it to you. could you go by that? pm me your address.

alls you need to know is the bolt spread and the hole diameter to compare right? you both have engines so cant you just measure ? or are the bolt holes offset

the problem is that jrzmac has a h35 and i have a hs40 so were trying to find out if the flange i have for a hs40 will fit on his motor . so that i can build him a exhaust pipe . thats why the strange question .

Flange is the same size BUT a mirror image-different sides. As far as the "side pooper" I can't tell you the orientation of the flange. On the normal H35 it is a mirror image. Hope this helps.

ya that does help . it sounds like the pattern i have for flanges may work . thanks :thumbsup:

The pattern is the same-just flipped. The flange is kinda' "D" shaped and tilted at like 1:30 on the H30-35 where as it is tilted at like 11:00 on the HS40. I compared 3 of each just to make sure. Bolt holes and such are exactly the same.

the side pooper 3.5 has an upper left and lower right hole like so
