I was advised from someone smart to order carbs three at a time from Amazon, then keep the one that actually works, and return the other two as defective. That worked for me, though the tunable one still needed floats adjusted.
Usually, a good cleaning of the original carb gets them working right. There really isn't much to wear out inside.
If the throttle shaft is still tight in the bore, try removing the adjustment screws and the main jet and blowing some carb cleaner through every hole and make sure they all blow out somewhere else.
Some folks have decent luck with Amazon carbs. I am not one of those people. I try to keep the OEM carb or find another one on eBay.
