Help with arc top plate install

I tried following that video but my parts don't line up. I think I'll have to call arc to make sure I have the right parts.

Called Arc, sounds like I have a rare block where I need a spacer and a longer bolt. They are sending me the bolt and spacer, so I hope that fixes it.

What carb did you end up going with? Engine looks nice and clean. Must be new.

Question: Where is your carb insulator that goes between your head/carb. Looks like if you had that installed your throttle rod wouldn't hit the top plate, just maybe!


Looking at your picture below, I don't see the insulator.

Thats it! I forgot a part. That probably explains why the rods that hold the carb are so long too. Thanks!!!!!!!

Awesome, glad you posted pictures. Makes things much easier. Keep at it. Looks like your getting close.

its been a little while since I had it all together. I stripped it down to a bare block because why not? I de-greased it, tapped all the governor holes and now I'm putting it back together. I should have taken pictures but I guess there is info on the internet to get me by.

I had to cut a small notch in the back of the plate to give the linkage clearance

Mine just barely rubs. I don't think it will be a problem as of now since the throttle opens and closes freely.
