Hi all,
I have an old Fox Mini bike I have started to restore. Is this the place to get advice when I run into problems? Look forward to talking with you guys. I posted the following picture, can anyone identify the model?

Welcome to the fun.
Yes, this is the one and only place.
LMight be a Thunderbolt, but I am not sure.
Smokismo just finished one of those and I have been working on one for ever.
Looks like you have your work cut out for you. Good luck and don't be afraid to question up.

Thanks for the replies! I gonna replace the engine, it is seized. Predator engine any good? Recommened clutch available on OldMiniBikes? Gas tank is rusted inside, but predator engine has a tank on it. Old tank will be for looks only. Will also need new brake shoes. Any idea what hp the engine is? It is a Tecumseh. Great site!

Prob a 5 hp. You can clean that tank out if it isn't just awful.
That is a good restoreable mini. Worth the time and effort?
If you don't use that engine let me know, I would be interested in a thing or two from it. What does the other side look like?
The clutches from OldMiniBikes warehouse are fair priced and great service. Plus supports the folks that run this site.

I think the tank is a goner. I started grinding off the paint and it looks like it is rusted from the inside out. Actually found a pin hole on the outside. When I took the cap off I got 1/2 handful of rust out.
Just googled fox thunderbolt, pictures are similar to mine but not the same model. I seem to remember it being a 'banshee' model. Been so long, I'm sure I am wrong. Too many beers since I was a kid!

All fixable maybe.
Like I said, not sure about exact model. There are several different Thunderbolts. There are others much smarter about these things than I. Start a what is it thread and someone will know.

Welcome to OldMiniBikes
Personally I would not give up on any of the parts that are on your FOX..
You might be surprised with what a little TLC can do to bring back some of those rusty dirty parts.
Good luck with your project..
