Honda engine is making a metallic knocking noise when running

#1
Hey guys, just finished chaining the oil and cleaning some exterior parts on this Honda GX120. I rode it around briefly, and then it started to make this awful clanking/knocking noise when running. The sound makes me think that two metal objects in the engine are hitting each other. I took off the starter pull to ensure that it was not the culprit, to no avail. The engine worked fine up until this point. I have not modified or touched the internals of the engine.

the sound is similar to what is in the video in the link below

You mentioned "chaining the oil and cleaning some exterior parts", just double checking you put the right amount of oil back into it? Also, sometimes bolts on a part that you were taking off and on are not the same length. Could you have put a long bolt into a short hole and its hitting on something? Otherwise, I guess it's time to disable for a closer look. Sorry for your temporary setback.
