Honda G300 Throttle linkage

#1
Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone would have a photo of the throttle linkages for a G300 Honda. Particularly going from the governor arm to the carburetor butterfly.

Should be a lot like the G200 and GX series.
The difference will be the arm coming out of the case cover and not the block.
Yes I know but there's a load of different hole for the springs to go into :) I will be rebuilding this engine and there is a thread going up soon

That's better, now I understand what you are asking.

The holes are to set the governor sensitivity.
Closer to the shaft makes the governor respond faster and provide better load regulation.
Too close and you get hunting where the governor over compensates for load changes and over shoots then undershoots.
Sometimes this becomes a self sustaining oscillation.
Pick the hole that gives you the best performance of throttle.

In the 80s a rod for that engine was over 100 bucks.
I have no idea what the cost will be today.

As NOS stated, that would be an expensive engine to rebuild and parts availability could be a problem. If you have any questions about parts I could let you know if they've been discontinued or not.
