Ohhhh wow, that intake isn't gonna work for your motor.. If you want to slant your carb on that big block, you will need an adapter like Jrzmac posted.. There is an aftermarket piece that a guy makes and sells.. It just wedges your carburetor down at the correct angle, in between the carb and intake manifold...
.
.
.
Then you have the snowblower throttle system and those things can be a pain in the butt to hook up anyways..
But, the nice part is, when your throttle system is setup right, adding in that angled piece will be an easy job..
I don't know what all pictures I have or are available.. But they SHOULD BE all available if they aren't, and it's going to need remedied.. :glare:
The H40-70 engines have a piece of flat metal bent into a C shape, like 4 inches tall maybe, and a couple inches long, that clamps onto a rotating arm that comes out of the rear side cover on the engine.. And at the top, it attaches to the head, via a small rivit type thing...
The governor inside of the engine is spinning at a certain speed, which causes that big C shaped arm to sit at whatever pre-determined position, that corresponds to the governor inside..... :hammer:
THEN there is a small rod/linkage thing that goes from your C shaped arm, and attaches at the carburetor that actually positions the throttle shaft in the carb, and determines the speed you are running....
The governor spring, attaches in between that C shaped arm, and the throttle bracket unit thing you have pictured (or whatever throttle system)... Then your twist grip and cable are gonna hook toTHE OTHER END of your bracket thing....
.

.
Basically, any governor is a spring that is built in between you're throttle grip, and the internal governor inside of the engine.... Then you pull the throttle open, which pulls on that spring, that pulls on the governor system... The engine gets to a speed that it determines is full throttle wide open governed speed, and that is where the RPM's hang, no matter HOW HARD you can pull on the governor spring..
I should have pictures of a minibike style throttle setup, which is gonna be mostly the same... Then your snowblower throttle thing is gonna require some re-engineering..
Lemme see what I ca find.. :glare:
