HS40 flywheel missing

#1
Picked up an Horizontal HS 40 complete, minus recoil shroud and flywheel. Coil/points set up mounted under flywheel. Can anyone tell me if the Horizontal 3.5 alluminum wheel will interchange?
Thanks

WOW well.. Not really.. HAHA!! Some of them are.. the worst thing with an HS50 ist the 50 different crank shafts.. Found THAT out the hard way.. I have like from 3 to 7 spare flywheels and covers for them though.. we just need to know which what ya want.. Iron or aluminum, starter gear or no..

The main thing is the taper of the shaft..

We need to know the bore of the crank shaft where the taper starts, the bore at the end where the nut tightens down, and maybe evern the length of ramped area.. That way we'll know which ones will even fit.. :doah:

We need to know like, 3/4 tapers to 1/2 or something like that..

OK...THese are approx. dimensions...
The diameter of the shaft closest to the block is .748 ( after the seal journal dia.)
It's about 5/8 long before the taper begins. The size of the taper just before the threads start is about .568. The threaded portion is about 9/16" long. Total length around 1 & 13/16 " from tip to the .748 dimension.
