Well your problem is either at the coil or up at the switch IMHO. Or the harness connector but that seems unlikely

FYI, The kill button on the #15418R headlight switch is the small chrome button on the side of the switch.
The top black button is for an optional horn.
If you have a meter you can check continuity of the kill switch between the engine plug and the handlebar when you hit the kill button.
