I bought this project Scat Cat a couple weeks ago. I threw it into the garage and have not tested the motor until tonight. With a little ajdustment to the needle got it purring like a kitten. Even did an oil change. I put 10w 30 into my 3.5 Tecumsah. Is that oil allright.
Next issue is while pull starting it I noticed the rear wheel was bowing to the side. I looked closer and figured out some spokes are broken. Darn it.
I thought my back wheel was in good shape. So now I need to find both wheels. Front wheel did not match when I bought it. Can anybody help me with ideas for new rims or does anybody possibly have a set old orginial ones. I would trade someone for the front one I have. It's a 10 inch kinda solid with round holes in it. Now that I know the motor runs, I am pumped to get this cat going for my daughter. I texted her when I bought it and said I got her a dirt bike. When I got home I saw the disappointment on her face when she saw it was a basket case. So I gotta get this going fast. Also need a fork spring and axle.Thanks for a any ideas or help.
