My aunt got this for Christmas in 1967 and it’s been in the shed for around 45 years and she gave it to me this week. The seat is still in great shape but the engine is seized up. I’m thinking I’ll replace it with a 212cc Predator and maybe get the frame sandblasted and re-chromed; the entirety of the tubing is chrome and I’d hate to paint that.

Pretty cool find and I can’t wait to get it running and restored.

I am super impressed you are using the Chetah name. May I ask how you know that? Is there markings/decaling on the bike or paperwork and if so any chance of seeing it as well as the Engine model number plate which is located front under the fuel tank???? Most people would not reference that brand name or know that. I am curious due to the construction and the build date as it shows a major change in framework from the earlier in the year advertised bikes and it would give a better reference for that particular name brand being in use. Very cool to see an early GT 240, Congrats!!
