ID please

Hi,

A friend gave me this Tec. I didn't get the numbers and it'll be at my place in a day or so. He claims it's a 5hp and came from an older wood chipper.

Can any of the gurus here tell me by just a picture what hp it might be, possibly a year too?

I know I know, I'm sure I could wait & run the numbers myself... but I thought I'd ask.

Looks to be an H50. Depending on the serial # could be later 70's or 80's.

I'm gonna guess HM80 or HM100 by the width of it. Good news is it looks like it has the 12v starter so it should have the charge/lighting capability

I thought HM80/HM100 had the sideways mounted L-shaped intake manifold?

Late 80's earlier 90's for that decaling....think 1988 was the start of that design on the literature. Looks to be an H50 or 60

Thanks so far. I got the engine here. Problem is, I have the serial numbers & such... but cannot seem to find anything that matches this.

sears parts direct has the parts breakdown for it. Like I thought its a 1988 year model, H50=5hp engine.
