I'm back...

Picked up these two Cats this evening. Not sure if I'm going to just get one or both of them going. Paid $200 for the pair. The seller claimed he had the one with the engine in it running but it's currently got the wrong carb on it. It's a 5hp Tecumseh.

The front end is incorrect on the one for sure and it has some crap welded on it.

The top one looks like it has Tote Gote forks on it probably off a early one like a model b or p.

Good to know. Did the Tote Gote front wheel have a drum brake setup on it? This one does, but it doesn't seem like it would work too well.

Yes the did have two different styles. The early ones had a schwinn pork chop brake used on early bicycles and the later ones had a internal band brake.

Looks like it might have the Tote Gote brake on it as well.

I feel like I've forgotten damn near everything I knew about minibikes.

Yes you do that’s the schwinn pork chop brake the vintage bike guys have been paying up to $200 for those on eBay depending on condition.

Interesting. I'm thinking about ditching those wheels and would have just tossed that most likely.

The guy only lived 10 minutes from me, figured I might as well grab them.

I was at the Winter Drift Jam at Sonoma this weekend and decided that a minibike would make getting around there much easier next year. I also needed something new to toss money at.
