Polio was still a real concern and all of us kids lined up at the local high school to get the Salk vaccine. We were each given a sugar cube with a drop of the medicine on it. That was probably in 1963 or 1964.
- Kids used to play outside
-we walked to school no matter the weather
-we went to a library to figure something out
-when we went grocery shopping ,we didnt have a meaningless conversation with a little plastic box annoying everybody else in the store
Great thread!! When you could leave in the morning on your bike and didn't have to be home till the sun went down - nobody even worried where you were!
